Backer Plates

All backers can be ordered in packages of 24, 96 or 144.

SALG
This is an ideal backer plate for shorter studs – up to HNT-1340 – at a good price. This strong, lightweight aircraft aluminum plate won’t crack in the cold, or break under stress. The large recessed dome is designed to make it easy to install the stud head flush to the track.

PALG
For all the longer studs – HNT-1340 on up – you need to go to this thicker, more rigid backer. These longer studs just put too much pressure on the plates and thinner plates can give under this added pressure. This plate has all the features of the SALG, but, is much thicker.

DALG
This is the big-brother of the PALG – 2-up. It has all of the same features, and can be used wherever you want to put 2 studs close together, or in traction patterns with several studs in the same section of the track.

X-PLUS
Our brand new X-PLUS backers are specifically engineered for use on all single-ply tracks, including those on the Ski-Doo XP and XR models, as well as on certain new Arctic Cat and Polaris models using a 2.86 inch pitch track. These extra large backer plates compliment the large, thin heads on Roetin Hornet and Skorpion traction studs to provide an unbeatable installation that won’t fail prematurely from either pull-through or stud breakage.
